About

The Wither is not a very good boss: it only has one attack and no interesting movement patterns, and the fight requires very little skill.

This mod aims to fix that, giving the Wither new attacks, a new phase and more in an attempt to make the fight more fun and engaging.

What kind of changes does the mod make?

⦁ The Wither now has a more intimidating model and sounds

⦁ The world will turn to night permanently while the Wither is alive

⦁ The Wither has a new first phase where it focuses on destroying the world instead of directly targeting players

⦁ The Wither can now use a powerful Beacon-like laser attack that you'll be vaporized by without sufficient cover

⦁ The Wither now has a charge attack, which can be blocked using a Shield to stun the Wither

⦁ The Wither now has an attack where it will fly up and shoot a barrage of Wither Skulls at the ground

⦁ "Dangerous" Wither Skulls can now be deflected like Ghast fireballs to deal extra damage to the Wither

⦁ Wither Skulls will now have bigger explosions and produce fire, which can be seen from a distance

⦁ The Wither will now attack much more violently in its final phase

⦁ The Wither will now fly around its target instead of hovering directly above them

⦁ Most mobs will now run away from the Wither

⦁ The Wither can now possess nearby undead mobs. Possessed mobs will follow the Wither and defend it

How to add possessed eye layers for modded undead

⦁ Make a resource pack that changes the mob's texture to one that only has the mob's eyes (and make the eyes all white)

⦁ Add _possessed_witherreincarnated to the end of the texture file name (before the .png)

⦁ Enable the resource pack, and you're done!
