About
Variants&Ventures adds multiple new mob variants seamlessly integrated into your Minecraft world.
Each mob variant spawns naturally in relevant biomes. You may also encounter their spawners in dungeons and trial chamber structures, adding an extra layer of challenge and exploration.
You can check wiki for a detailed overview of implemented mobs and features.
Gelid (Frozen Zombie)
Gelid is a new zombie variant that inflicts freezing when it attacks. You can find the gelid in cold biomes.
Other features related to the gelid:
- Possibility of Gelid monster spawners in the Dungeons under cold biomes
- Possibility of Gelid trial spawners in the Trial Chambers
Thicket (Jungle Zombie)
Thicket is a new zombie variant that inflicts poison when it attacks. You can find the thicket in the jungle biomes.
Other features related to the thicket:
- Possibility of Thicket monster spawners in the Dungeons under jungle biomes
- Possibility of Thicket trial spawners in the Trial Chambers
Verdant (Jungle Skeleton)
Verdant is a new skeleton variant that fires poison-tipped arrows. You can find the verdant in the jungle biomes.
Other features related to the verdant:
- Possibility of Verdant monster spawners in the Dungeons under jungle biomes
- Possibility of Verdant trial spawners in the Trial Chambers
Murk (Sunken Skeleton)
Murk is a new skeleton variant that lives underwater. You can find the murk in the warm ocean biomes.
Other features related to the murk:
- Can be sheared for live and/or dead corals
- Possibility of Murk trial spawners in the Trial Chambers

⚙️ Compatibility
Variants&Ventures is designed to be fully compatible with all mods, and should work out of the box with everything. For example mobs will spawn in modded biomes and will be affected by Fresh Animations.
Mod is fully configurable, every feature in the mod can be freely enabled or disabled via the config file or the in game config.
