A Minecraft mod that expands endgame progression using armor trims to provide unique perks.
Ever felt like armor trims could be more than just cosmetic? Especially for the price and effort that goes into getting them? Look no further than the Super Trims mod!
This mod expands all trim materials giving players specific bonuses depending on what material makes up the armor trim. These specific bonuses are very unique powerful. I hope you find value in one or many of the trims bonuses no matter what your playstyle!
All trim bonuses can only be activated if all four armor peices have the same material for the trim. However, trim type and base armor material have no affect on the bonuses. The only two trim materials that work without all four armor pieces is lapis and iron. This is due to the fact that their bonuses are item specific and do not affect the player directly.
When a full set of matching trim material is equipped, a specific sound will play indicating your bonuses have activated. There is also an indicator that appears above your offhand slot in the player inventory.
Trim Bonus Details
Emerald: When a player wearing a full trim of Emerald trades with a villager using emeralds, the villager will refund the player roughly 50% of spent emeralds back to the players inventory.
"Your wealth is measured in influence, not emeralds."
Redstone: Players wearing a full trim of redstone will constantly emit a light level of 7. They also have a redstone aura that emits highly unstable redstone power.
"You feel the power and motion of the Earth glow red around you."
Lapis: Lapis trimmed armor can be enchanted one level higher than other armor.
"Your enchantments no longer feel limited. They yearn for greater power."
Amethyst: Player will make amethyst noises when walking, jumping, or taking damage while wearing fully amethyst trimmed armor.
"Each step carries a quiet resonance."
Quartz: Wearing fully quartz trimmed armor makes the player completely immune to all fire and lava damage.
"You walk untouched through the inferno."
Netherite: Mobs with less than 21 total max health will not aggro players wearing fully netherite trimmed armor unless extremely near the player (basically on the same block) or when attacked. All non-boss mobs will shake in fear at the sight of the player.
"there is nothing to fear but fear itself... and you."
Diamond: A full set of diamond trimmed armor gives 2 extra hearts, increasing the total max health of the player to 24.
"Pressure does not break you. It Perfects you."
Gold: Players mining with fully gold trimmed armor have ores drop one extra item. This bonus works alongside any fortune enchants.
"Wonder and wealth cling to you."
Iron: Iron trimmed armor gains triple the durability of standard armor of its type.
"Time and battle leaves little more than a scratch."
Copper: If a player wearing fully copper trimmed armor is struck by lightning, the player will become "charged" for 2 minutes and gain massive bonuses and perks. Gaining Speed VI, Absoption X, Regeneration I, Fire Resistance, Jump Boost III, and Haste V. Anything attacked while the player is charged has a 20% chance of being struck by lightning. After the effect wear off, the player gains Hunger II as well as the custom effect "overoaded." After being struck by lightning, the player cannot gain these bonuses again until both the charged and overloaded effect wear off.
"Like Ben Franklin, you must harnedd the power of lightning."
