📘: General Overview

Overweight Farming is a small mod that aims to improve and expand Minecraft's farming and tries to make farming more fun. The prime feature of this mod is the overweight crop which has a very small chance for a vanilla crop to grow into one of these.

Overweight Farming is a really small mod that focuses on deepening and expanding farming in Minecraft. It's named after the first feature we added, the Overweight Crops!

Beets, carrots, potatoes, or beans have a small chance to grow into Overweight Crops. Breaking them results in a higher yield than regular crops.

During Moonlight, crops have an increased chance to grow into Overweight Crops.

📦: The Straw Hat

The Straw Hat is a new item sold by farmers. Aside from making you look like a proper farmer, this hat increase the chance of Overweight Crops growing, and allows animals to have doublets or triplets when breeding.

📦: Apeeling Update

You can now peel all overweight crops using an axe!

When peeled, they drop a new item: Vegetable Peels.

You can remove the seeds from peeled melons by right-clicking them.

They can also be waxed to prevent people from steeling your melon seeds.

Right-clicking a peeled melon with an empty bottle gives you melon juice!

Vegetable peels can be fed to pigs, and make for good compost.

They also have a storage block variant, which is great for decoration: The Vegetable Compost.

You can also finally obtain overweight poisonous potatoes by baking an overweight potato on a heat source!

📦: Garnish Update

Overweight Apples now have a small chance to generate on big oak trees. Be careful though, or they might fall on your head!

You can also craft a golden version of the overweight apple. When falling, this version deals more damage than an anvil.

All overweight crops can now be planted in pots!

Now even nether wart can grow into an overweight variant!
