Horizon is an updated version of the mod Nuit, also known as FabricSkyboxes by FlashyReese.
Horizon is an updated version of the mod Nuit by FlashyReese, which allows for resource packs to create custom skyboxes in both Fabric and Neoforge - similar to what Optifine does. Please check out the original mod for older versions, a showcase, and an expanded description of what this mod does and how it works.
What happened to the original mod?
The original mod still exists! However, the owner of Nuit, FlashyReese, seems to have fallen behind in updates - possibly they are busy with life or working on another project. I hope to continue development of this fork for now and maintain it until Reese catches up with updates.
Why did you not just create a pull request?
As stated above, I wish to maintain this fork until Reese comes back in order to get skybox support out as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Why is this only available for a few versions?
At the time of release, I finished updating it to modern. My goal is to make this mod available on every version forward, including Neoforge versions - and prioritizing that over making it quickly available on the current modern version. If you are waiting for a version, please hit the heart above to follow the project and get notified when it updates.
(psst, its also a lot easier for me to update from 1.21.8 to 1.21.9, then to 1.21.10, then to 1.21.11, and so on, then it is to just go from 1.21.8 to 1.21.11!)
Is Nuit Interop going to be updated and forked soon?
Even though this was originally planned, this likely will not be happening due to intense rendering changes that broke the mod during the transfer. Instead, I would suggest using skyboxify for any optifine skypacks you want.
