The in-game wallet for purchases
CraftWallet is a powerfull mod that creates a Web3 wallet interface within Minecraft. Allowing players to make purchases directly from within the game.
The mod stores the wallet keys locally on the client device within an password encrypted vault. The keys are never sent to the server, and all transactions must be approved on the client.
CraftWallet is available on Paper, Fabric and NeoForge. Simply drag the correct jar file for the mod loader to the plugins/mods directory or use a mod manager like Prism Launcher.
The mod requires Cloth Config to be installed on Fabric and NeoForge. It should not be installed on Paper.
Upon first load of the game with CraftWallet installed you will be met with a 12 word recovery phrase. This is randomly generated and can be regenerated by relaunching the game. You must create a password, this will be used to secure your wallet on the device and you will need to re-enter it after a relaunch to use your wallet. If you lose your password you will lose your wallet, so be sure to write down the 12 word phrase before continuing.
CraftWallet requires the server to have the plugin installed to execute transactions. You can confirm it is installed by seeing CraftWallet in /plugins or by running the command /wallet and it should return your own wallet address.
Ensure you are running the mod with Java 21 or above. Any lower may cause the mod to crash.
CraftWallet is not responsible for loss of funds. DO NOT share your recovery phrase or private keys, if an actor gains access to your wallet without permission CraftWallet does not have the ability to reverse transactions on the blockchain.
The mod has a feature when approving transactions to read simulated account balance changes. This gives you a preview of what you are approving, however not all instructions are able to be read so only approve transactions on a server you trust.
I've built up many years of experience in Minecraft modding, plugin dev and server management. One of the many issues servers have today are running costs, they rely on donations via parties like Tebex & CraftingStore. These 3rd party providers charge up to a 5% fee on all donations. I created CraftWallet to give power back to the servers. I also believe that credit card providers have too much power and I am a large advocate for crypto in general, sadly crypto scams are very prominent and those non-crypto native can easily be fooled. I want CraftWallet to be a seamless gateway to slowly and safely educate how a wallet works and to stay safe from future scams.
