About

This mod is highly optimized, simple, powerful, and extensively tested...please ignore that somehow the gui texture broke when the mod id changed...I already uploaded that version so I made a resource pack to fix that for now.

This display shows how to use most of the mod

There are 8 types of control panels, each with a different (aesthetic) purpose. -There is a light one and a dark one to blend in with different mods or bases. Like IC2 and Galacticraft for example or iron and basalt. -There are control panels which are small and passable. Then there are control blocks which are large and stationlike. -Sides on the small ones can be difficult to reach but they are aimable. -There are rainbow colored (casual) displays and touchscreen (dyeable) displays.

When placed, they start off without any functions or links. When a side is activated while holding a lever, that lever is added to the control panel for that side. The gui contains the levers and buttons for all the contained sides for your using. To add a button, you use a stone button instead of a lever. The control panel button lasts for (20 ticks aka 1 second) which is equal to the stone button in vanilla. By inserting a named item, the control will also be named, otherwise they will use their side as their gui name. A name tag with a name can alternatively name a control that is already installed. The name tag is not consumed in the process making this a great idea. This customization allows lots of engineering possibilities.

*The accuracy of custom names is the responsibility of the user.

This does mean there can be up to 6 controls per block.

The insertion items are both configurable but must be a single item ID for extraction reasons.

To remove a control, one must use X item on that side. When loading, the mod first scans for everything on the priority list. If nothing on that list is registered, it will scan everything on the backup list instead. Only ONE list will function. Those items are the extraction items.

The priority extraction items are: Buildcraft wrench IC2 wrench IC2 new wrench IC2 electric wrench Laser Mod screwdriver

The backup items are: Mr Crayfish's Furniture Mod hammer Vanilla shears

Like chests, the panel itself can be named in an anvil to change the gui title.

The control panel will drop all its controls with their names when broken. This can be configured so they keep the controls inside them when broken.

This is how motherboards work ingame.

I realized after the initial mod (More later) that the redstone around the sides of the block are very ugly. They kind-of sucked badly in appearance. So...

...I made the motherboard block. In addition to direct side power, one can and often should, link a motherboard to duplicate the power a short distance away where they are hiding. To link a motherboard, you hold it and sneak-activate the control panel. To avoid this being flat out wireless redstone, they are given a distance lossage. They lose 1 redstone strength every 4 blocks between them and the panel. This gives them a maximum range of 60 blocks. Please find another way to do wireless redstone. More than one motherboard can be linked to the same panel for easily wiring a farm or a machine. The lossage rate is configurable. These motherboards make it very easy to keep redstone small and nice looking.

Motherboards are linked in data in both directions by their relative coordinates and coordinate rotation incase a mod moves the setup somehow. Even the control sides rotate. Yes, this mod can be taken mobile by other mods. This feature was tested extensively by /blockdata command to rotate the block. It has yet to be tested with another mod. Essentially this is about as accurate as the Trappist system having 7 planets around it; It has yet to be tested but it is calculated deeply.

Control panels can also be opened from your inventory if you are within 144 blocks of it using a remote. This range is so you cannot use it while adventuring or to mess with another base from your own. The remote can be activated anywhere in range and it opens the gui of the control panel; The real gui (class/code file) but with a different range to stay open. This was tested by minecart incase you think it wasn't tested. The remote is great for walking around your farm/machine and triggering redstone while viewing another part of it or being in another room entirely.

Remotes come in light and dark just like the panels do. They do not have touchscreen as real remotes don't...except mobile computers.

Touchscreen variants can be dyed any two colors.

Touchscreen variants can be dyed by foreground and background. The dye MUST be ABOVE in the crafting grid to dye the foreground. The dye MUST be BELOW in the crafting grid to dye the background. The foreground and background can be dyed simultaneously. Dyes can also be mixed just like for leather armor for just the right shade. The dark variant can be made while being dyed (configurable).

Gauges work similar to comparators but are visual.

Lastly, the mod adds gauges. Gauges read things the same way comparators do but display the reading instead. -In development they were able to be linked to a comparator to make a gauge comparator block for distanced reading but that stopped working as soon as 12v2 left the development environment...which is now broken due to Java IDE version issues. Both to be fixed! Gauges can be used to determine how full a chest is, how strong the redstone is, or even which music disc is playing. Because it utilized a vanilla feature, it has automatic and complete mod support for anything a comparator can read.

Gauges can also float in midair by design, placement is not an issue. Actually, so can panels too.

This mod works great with tech mods and ComputerCraft.

This is the natural evolution of the control panels from my old MCreator mod "Quethed's Misc Mod". This however is NOT MCreator thankfully.

A: As long as you give me credit and link to this page. This page is on Modrinth only to clarify.

Q: Can you please port to X version/mod loader?

A: At some point. I must fix some bugs and take some mod suggestions before I consider other versions and mod loaders. I will also only port to adjecient versions. Basically, I will not make 1.14 until 1.13 is done. I will also not make 1.10 until 1.11 is done.

Q: Can I use this in my video?

A: As long as you give me credit and link to this page. This page is on Modrinth only to clarify. The credit can be when it first appears only if used in a series. The link must be in all videos, the description is recommended for that.
