Cobble Helper

Cobble Helper introduces a small but powerful automation mob that takes care of one of the most tedious early-game tasks in Minecraft (especially Skyblock): mining cobblestone from generators.

Instead of standing AFK and holding down your mouse button, you can delegate the work to a dedicated helper mob that mines cobblestone for you and stores it directly in an inventory.

What does the Cobble Helper do?

• Automatically mines cobblestone in front of it
• Inserts mined cobblestone into an inventory placed behind it
• Plays a mining animation and sound while working
• Can be paused using a Redstone signal

How to obtain the Cobble Helper

The Cobble Helper cannot be crafted directly.

To obtain one, you must convert a regular Minecraft Zombie using a special interaction:

1. Apply Slowness to a normal Zombie
   (for example using a Slowness Potion or Arrow of Slowness)
2. Right-click the slowed Zombie with Cobblestone
3. The Zombie will be converted and drop a Cobble Helper Spawn Item

This process is intentionally designed to feel like a ritual rather than a recipe and is documented via EMI world interaction hints.

Redstone Control

The Cobble Helper can be disabled using Redstone.

If the block below the helper receives a Redstone signal:

• Mining stops immediately
• A visual particle effect appears around the helper’s head
• No cobblestone is mined or inserted while powered

Inventory Requirements

• An inventory (chest, barrel, hopper etc.) must be placed behind the helper
• If no inventory is found, the helper will stop working and notify nearby players
• If the inventory is full, mining pauses automatically until space is available

Notes

• The Cobble Helper does not load chunks
• It only works while its chunk is loaded
• Intended as lightweight automation, not a full quarry replacement
